About this record
Described from a hand-dug pit in 2021. Horizons: L/F/H litter and humus to 8 cm, Ah to 15 cm, E bleached sand to 40 cm, Bs with iron pan at 60 to 70 cm, C glacial till below 110 cm. The profile is typical of Cairngorm granite podzols and is used as the depth frame for every other Edaphic record at the site.
